31.07.2009:

The risk of catching a drive-by infection merely by visiting a website is rapidly increasing. As early as January 2008, various attacks on websites intending to infect visitors were observed. In the latest case, over 80,000 web pages worldwide were affected, with numerous pages in Switzerland, too.

A new article on the topic of drive-by infections was published on the "eBanking but secure!" website, advising you of the risks and possible counter-measures you can take. In addition, the  Melde- und Analysestelle Informationssicherung des Bundes, (MELANI, i.e. the Federal Reporting and Analysis Office Information Security) has published a Checktool to establish whether a website shows any signs of such an infection, without any risk to yourself.
